I wrote a Tagging System to accompany my Portfolio. Now you can see how each of my projects are inter-related beyond their simple topics. Furthermore, it highlights the tools and technologies that went into such projects.

For months I've desired to write a tagging module. It originally sprang up when I was designing the now defunct, Carpe Nocturne Web-Zine. Alas, it didn't occur. While I've been updating my portfolio, I've been adding little features to accentuate it, thus, I decided to just go ahead and write it. I designed the backend in a sharp AJAX app. I wish I could present that portion; without sounding arrogant, I amaze myself.

So, please check out the tag-able portfolio section if you get a chance.

Portfolio Update

After a server upgrade, my portfolio was completely wiped. I didn't make backups, as I have a fleeting fatality for my own data (don't worry if you're a client, I have a cronjob making backups on a weekly basis).

Anyway, this is a typical crisitunity. I have devoted this week to overhauling my portfolio. I've become a bit more serious, I'm removing my "AIM Quotes" section, and general silliness, albeit I can't put down all the silliness.

So, if you are interested in my feats as a developer, a catatonic artist or my dioramas, please check out the portfolio section.

I also made some very slight UI updates, the Field Reports are now viewable in a drop-down menu in the navi. Also, Images are no longer regulated to a list on the right side of the content tab.

army of northern virginia

the other day, someone said "There's northern virginia and then there's the real virginia". At first i assumed she meant "West". It turns out she was cogent. Video

So, a rift has formed in Virginia, a war between the state, brother against brother, man against man, North against South.

Well the southern folk shouldn't be running their collective cotton-pickin mouth, because the Army of Nothern Virginia was the forefront of the confederate army. This time, instead of fighting for the South, "Stonewall" Jackson and Longstreet are fighting for the North. In the same case, since South Virginia is "real" Virginia, it'd be apt to call it Yankee Virginia.

Whatever the case. Billy Yank will only be able muster a rag-tag band of militia by the time the Army of Northern Virginia: armed with professional soldiers, brilliant leaders and mussel-loading muskets) drives their Tory Gentleman-farmer ascots to Yorktown.

Under the leadership of Lee, this victory is assured, and with it comes dire consequences: the Secession of Virginia from the Union. This may convince other states to do the same, most notably Alaska, which with executive support, is palling around with Quebec-styled independence.
