Due to my work on "Coldwell Banker Cape Cod", my friend Ian informed me that his company, Cambridge Rental Group, needed an application to maintain their rental properties.

The design was by Tudor, a Romanian designer. The system breaks properties down by city. Each realtor is given an account to maintain their rentals.

Craigslist Importer

Realtors can import their properties into Craigslist with a tool written with cURL. Basically, they need to enter in the Catchca, so an Iframe pops open with that portion.

Listings

Realtors can upload photos and include amenities. The listing also includes a link to google-maps with pre-loaded info of the listing.

Customers can print their listings w/o worry of being in a web-format. The print styles (via CSS) have been designed to present a very cogent and simple format.

For Landlords

Landlords can submit their own listings. The form is a bit overwhelming, but intuitively sectioned off. It also uses my home-made form validation application (which is used in several projects) to allow some extremely advanced validation.

Afterword

The project was under-budgeted, so it didn't go live. However, the system is fully functional. There has been talk of ressurecting it.

Anyway, this has alot of AJAX in the backend, and mod_rewrite in the frontend. I liked this unsung hero
